So Dolby make their own voice chat client (like ventrilo, teamspeak, etc) called Dolby Axon...

Just wondering if anyone has used it and what they think of it?

Had it during beta, its not bad, nothing really over Vent.

Apart from the 5.1 surround sound thing, where it plugs into the game your playing and looks at the location of your team mates and emulates the sound as if they was there.

So say they was behind you, you'd get the sound from behind.

The unfortunate thing with that however is that most things like VAC and punkbuster are likely to ban you unless Dolby have their support.

Oh fail, tbh most of the time directional sound is just a gimmick, you want to be able to chat to someone at the same volume no-matter where they are on the map.

Don't see how this would work with eve online either, you can be several lightyears apart at times

Guess I'll stick with vent/TS3
