Dolby Vision on Shield not appearing

I've just picked up a 4k 2017 Shield and can't get DV to show up on it. Then only setting is HDR10 ready.

I have brand new High speed Amazonbasics HDMI cables all tested with my 4k ATV and no issues there, deep colour is enabled on the TV.

AVR is on bypass. Also tried direct link to the TV...

Not sure what else to try.

One thing of note SkyQ doesn't like these cables I had to drop back to my 10 year old hdmi cable (which still carries HLG 4k from the box)

Anyone have any suggestions?

AFAIK unless it changed recently you need the newer 2019 model.

If new why did you buy the 2017 model (I have one).

Cables are new shield was second hand, just fancied trying it out.

Edit: just googled it and yep no DV just HDR10 was a bit of an impulse buy £100 for the shield with gaming controller. I may pass it on in that case.

To be honest it's the least important, or possibly pointless, feature on the new shield.

If you have a DV capable TV, which you need to take advantage of DV in the first place, then you already have access to all DV content via TV apps.

Yes I do, I did jump a bit at the "pass it on" line however after thinking about it I'm going to keep it as it has a number of features to play around with.
