I'm going to be building a pc for a friend's little brother, but I haven't kept up with developments with the exception of whatevers best at the time, making it harder to recognise whats good for a lower budget. Basiclly the request was for it to run The Sims 2, now sadly I have no idea what the cheapest card capable of this is.

He would like a whole system if possible, including kb, mouse, speakers (could be picked up seperatly) a 17" or 19" LCD monitor.

The budget is upto £650 for everything, but the lower the better, hes just going to be using it for Sims 2, net browsing and a bit of school work. Please could someone give me an idea of what would be best for these requirements and what kind of price I would be looking at. Thanks very much.

aaah lets get the poor little guy a good graphics card for newer games.

If you go with the other spec, instead of the £19.95 wireless keyboard maybe get the £29.95 as this has a re-charger for the mouse and will save battery costs.
