Domain and website hosting

I'm currently paying 1and1.co.uk £90 a year for a basic package, plus domain costs (about 10-15 .co.uk's at a few quid each for 2 years). Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good, cheap, reliable web host better than 1and1.co.uk? Massive feature-set not important, support should be sattisfactory, and its control panel should be clean and well organised.
 
I've only ever used one web host, so I can't really compare them to anyone else, but I've been with these guys for about 4 or 5 years and they are great...

For what it's worth, I get my domains from 123reg.

EDIT: I've had my site(s) and email with them for several years now, and can't say I've ever had anything go wrong

EDIT: They'd also some sort of custom package if you want specific stuff if you email them

I use vidahost for http://www.the-iblog.com and have never had any unexpected downtime. They were the ones everyone recommended to me a couple of years ago, and they're still being recommended now so that must say something.
 
Vidahost do have excellent support - any time I've had a query it's been answered very promptly indeed (<30 mins for most). I don't do too much with my webspace but they've always been helpful and the prices are reasonable.
 
Well Vidahost have got some tasty new servers. And they're good prices... £90/year from 1&1 would get you a nice account with Vida (and they run Cpanel, making it very easy to use)

I started my business with them a few years ago on a £30 account. Am still with them now. I'm a sucker for good service.
 
Think half of OcUK are either with vidahost or TSOHost :) I joined vida based on recommendations from here also and wont be going anywhere else for my hosting needs.
 
Thanks a lot for your responses! Going ahead with VidaHost, about £60 for 3 years compared to my current £270!!! Plus I get loads more features, more space and more bandwidth. Such a relief to move away from 1and1 :)
