Domain Forwarding Help?

Hi guys can any of you help me out with a small problem that im having, i am trying to setup a small personal website, i have bought a domain name and managed to get some free webspace to put it on, but im having trouble making the address forward to the webspace.

in the webspace control panel all the info i have got is

box1.oxyrack.com and my username

I have managed to login to the ftp but im abit clueless of what to do next, is there a file i need to edit or something ?

Any help would be much appriciated

It will all be done with whoever you bought the webspace and domain from. Since they appear to be 2 seperate companies, then its the domain provider you need to configure. As far as I am aware, FTP will not have access to the required configs.

Have you setup the nameservers your host provided you at your registrar?? If you have it can take up to 48hrs I believe to propogate.
