Domain How long till active?

Hey,

I got an domain yesterday how long till the URL becomes active? 24hrs? Beacuse it is nearly 24hrs now.

Can take up to 24 hours for the world's dns servers to update their records for it though...

whats the domain name ? chances are it could be working for us but not for you.

takes around 24 hours for mine to get assigned to the server. my friend in canada can always see it before me.

edit

also make sure that you have assigned the name servers & also changed the domain in your cPanel (probably plesk or cPanel).

I generally say 24 - 48 hours
