domain name for website taken

I have an idea for 2 new businesses.

ABC and XYZ

both the .co.uk and .com domains are taken

Both have abc.uk.com & xyz.uk.com available and abc-uk.co.uk and xyz-uk.co.uk available

What is best or best to avoid - I've no idea!!

Buy them all, they're not expensive.

I'd go for the .uk.com for the main domain name that you give out though.

Have you checked the new domains? Are there any relevant to your business there?

.uk is available, like you say it may sensible to buy them all.

£70 for 2 years on each of the uk.com sites.

The abcuk.co.uk and abc-uk.co.uk are about £6.00 each, so it's not going to break the bank to get all 6 plus the .uk one.

When is .uk happening? Will it take off?

I think your question is should I buy .uk.com domain ? right.

If you can create it in to big brand then go for it, my own web hosting provider uses Webhost.uk.Com & VPS.UK.com

and looking at their traffic statistic they are good. But as said above do buy .co.uk as well that will help and park .uk.com domain.
