Domain Name In Apache

how do i setup a domain name in apche

im going to buy a domain name over next few days and just wondering how do i get it so when its typed into browser it brings up my site/forum on my webserver ?

open the httpd.conf and look at all the options, just change the ones that say about domain name and IP
