Hi all,
There has been a discussion locally about starting a town website, however it appears that the town name has been purchased back in 1998 by giraffe.co.** who admit they lease/sell domain names.
The thought of paying these types of people for the .co.uk name frustrates me and I just won't do it.
There's nothing on the site other than a blatant holding page and some basic info on the site and some pictures taken from a google panoramio program which probably breeches copyright.
How would you go about getting the domain name released from them legally? what sorts of cost would you be talking about? any other info?
We can just as easily use the .info version, this is more of a hypothetical question.
