Domain servers

Hi.

Just wondering, if I create a Windows Server 2003 domain server on my main PC, then on my laptop have Windows XP in a VM, will I be able to connect XP in the VM to this domain server?

I'm basically just doing it to do abit of experimenting.

What I also want to do is then make the accounts so whatever computer I log onto, my documents, all my properties and bookmarks in various browsers, and perhaps if possible some applications are all synced.

Is this possible? I tried it years ago but all that happened is it never copied filed across.

If its XP Pro then Yes, XP Home No.

Google Roaming Desktops and Documents and you should find a couple of guides to get you going.

Actually could I just stick the server 2003 in a VM on my main PC rather than faffing around partitioning and all that?

Yep that would work fine - I use a couple of VM machines on my laptop.
