Domains and Local Accounts

Is there an easy way of changing an account on a computer from being a domain account to being a locally administered one?

At the moment my best method is to set up a new local account and copy across the data from the 'Documents and Settings' folder - any improvement on that would be greatly appreciated.

I've never tried the direction you wish to move the profile and most tools are designed to migrate local to domain.

Nevertheless, you could have a play around with either the Microsoft tool, USMT
