Morning
I am very new to domains, hosting etc
Just bought a domain name and hosting...

I am wanting to upload flash files onto my domain which i have managed. The hosting uses something called cPanal but im using FileZilla to connect to it to transfer my files over.

The issue that i am having is when i upload the .swf and Index.html file, and then go to my website it just shows the files rather than automatically going straight to the .swf, what am i doing wrong? Clicking on the files that are displayed it works fine.... I have spent the past 2 hours trying to figure it out but not getting any closer to the solution.

Would appreciate some pointers...thanks

What is it exactly you are trying to achieve?

You can use .htaccess/cpanel to direct your url to a certain .swf file.

What does your Index.html file contain?

Sorry if my above post is confusing, early morning :-! When I type my domain in, it does not automatically find index.html, it goes to the domain but just the files that have been uploaded (in this case index.html and the .swf file are displayed).

What i want to know is how to redirect my domain to look for www.mydomainname.com/Index.html

Don't use a capital 'I'.

So if you name the first page in your site "Index.html" (using a capital "I"), or "mypage.html" (not on the list), or "index-home.html" (also not on the list), your site will NOT appear on the web

As stated, replace the capital letter with a lower case.
