Evening all, anyone stayed in punta cana and can recommend some nice all inclusive resorts - preferably adults only if poss

My favourite is the Iberostar Grand Bavaro

after that I would go for either the Excellence Punta Cana or Excellence El Carmen

all above are adult only

I stayed here at the beginning of the year, not adults only but it was a great hotel!

We had a really good time at Excellence El Carmen. It's adults only. Lots of Americans but that's par for the course in the DR.

Years ago DR used to ne mainly Brits and Canadians but unfortunately most resorts have gone the way you say these days

I can't recommend any adults only ones. Stayed at Hard Rock and it was amazing.

Where have the brits moved onto then? haha

I think at the mo im leaning towards the places on bavaro beach or nearabouts, resorts wise:

Impressive premium adults
Royalton Hideaway

the above are in my top 5 (always keeps changing tbh)

unfortunatly iberostar gb is a bit out of my price range. will check out excellence

The Brits are spread across all the islands and I think all over the world, far more than those form the US who are usually limited in places they go

certainly at Excellence Punta Cana I would look at Excellence Club rooms, the extras are worth it (well at the usual price of about £50-60 a night extra per room)

Picking between the 2 Excellence resorts, punts cana has a more tropical/Island feel where el carmen is more modern
