im trying to watch a movie file but im told i need domplayer. dont really like using media players i dont really know, would there be anyway to play it through a different media software application ?
well i thought it was avi but the file type is video clip. its not even a long clip (10mins ish) so i dont want to install something i will use a few times
If your still subscribed to this thread, you may want to know that domplayer is actually a fake media player bundled with trojans and other crap. And the video file is encrypted and probably some sort of dodgey video as well. Not the latest movie on bittorrent that you thought it was.
There are other such fake videos on the torrent sites. Another one is the 3G Player.
Its a general rule of thumb, that if a video asks you to download its own video player, then you can bet your ass that its a fake and its going to hurt you to do it.
Take the file off your PC and just avoid downloading that movie, erm, I mean, that legal Linux distribution... again.
