dont connect3d x1800xt 256mb use a 2nd pci-e slot?

your question is confusing, you ask if it is a 2 slot card, which it is.

Then you start talking about power connectors

More detail please. :)

When they say it's a dual slot cooler it means it takes up 2 blanking plates at the back of the case (and typically blocking a PCI slot adjacent to the PCI-E slot).

As for a power adapter for molex to PCI-E power normally you get one, but maybe they've started not putting them in.

i mean i bought one from ocuk and the power adaptor isn't in the box. It actually says on the box the adaptor is included. I suppose i'm just very unlucky and i'll have to ask for a replacement.

My XFX card didnt come with a power adaptor or dvi-vga converter, I decided that it would be too much hassle to send it back.

Yeah, XFX are an Nvidia partner. As for the question of accessories, my Sapphire X1800XT 256MB came with one power adapter and one DVI-VGA converter.

I have to admit they really packed this card in. Theres about 6 cables, 2 connectors for the monitor, some manuals and a driver cd in it. I find it hard to believe anything else could fit, i mean the card is almost the size of the box.

Eh, you gona RMA the whole card just for one of these , 8th one down Akasa PCI Express 6 Pin to 4 Pin Power cable adaptor for PCI-E Graphics Cards (CB-018-AK)
, they'll just send you card back as its not faulty, then charge you for the delivery of it.

Aye, LoadsaMoney is (as he is generally) correct. You should just order one of those cables or it's going to be a lot more hassle than it is worth.
