Dont get a 7950gx2

It's amazing how someone feels they have to tell the world not to get a particular type of card because on their machine it runs slower than a model that's a year old. Surely they would catch themselves on and realise there's maybe something else at fault? With newer models manufacturers tend to release cards that are faster because that's usually what people want.
You maybe could have titled this thread as "strange performance problems in my 7950gx2, please help" or something like that. "Don't get a xxx" stands out a mile and people who are quickly browsing the forums would maybe take this as a proper opinion of the card if they see similarly-titled topics posted often enough.

You didn't say anything about online in the OP I quoted from now did you? You should be more specific. Don't use muiltiplayer, but even one core seems quite playable in singleplayer. Not saying there's no problem, but it's not the generic card design or the basic engine renderer.

Reinstall drivers and windows same issues.

Got a new card Same thing again load of crap.

When you go to slizone and register them u get there is no sli in your system.

Another nvidia gimmick.........

I suggest you go back to the drawing board my friend as you are clearly talking rubbish.

Its not the card its your system setup. :p

Just because you had problems doesn't mean no one else should get one.
 
Ok Problem solved.

Thank god. Reason i vented,Well here we go i was so excited to get this card and it was annoying me having frame issues.

But looking into the system setup i tried every single combo. Except disabling zonealarm. After disabling ZA and uninstalling multicore amd driver my online play was fine no judders or frame skipping.

Also run 3dmark06 again score 9020 = 1000 more from doing that.

Quake4 is awsome now no fps problems @ all (Benchmark results 1600x1200 146fps) From 87

Bottom line this worked for me and im chuffed with the card hehe. thanks for the help.

Shame you can't change the title really. Or can you? As from the outset it really does make the cards look bad, when it was infact nothing to do with the card.
