I have two PCs, both using Win 7 64bit home premium edition... one is a laptop, other is a desktop... both PCs are connected to the same wireless network.

regardless of which PC I configure to be a part of a homegroup (with file sharing etc enabled), I don't get the option to 'join' a homegroup on the other pc... i.e. neither PC can see each other though the homegroup!

anyone know what the issue is?

thanks

im assuming both pcs can access the internet ?

also, how are the ips sets, just via DHCP?

u could try checking the ips of each system to make sure they are on the same subnet, should be if using DHCP, but worth checking just incase

also, try pinging the ip address of the other computer and see if u get a response
