Hey guys,

Just seen the threads about Nvidia not allowing voltage adjustment.

This is going to affect overclocking for sure... So is this the time were Nvidia loose a chunk of customers and go to AMD.

I am... 7950CF mite be my choice now unless i can be convinced otherwise

They 670's and 680's have never allowed voltage adjustments out the box. You have to flash a custom BIOS onto it. If you want to...

However you can overclock them - mine overclock to 1310 and 1280 on the core with the standard 1.175V.

From day 1 of release it was well known that the volts were locked down. It is possible to flash the bios for any 670/80 to 1.2120V but I advise against this because the gains are very minor (if any).

If you enjoy overclocking, maybe the 7950 is the card to get. You can play with voltages on this card and it is a good price.

At a max OC they trade blows depending on the game.

All things considered I'd say the 670 is less than 5% faster but faster nonetheless. It is more expensive as well.

Ah I see, perhaps wait until the non-reference 7950's are on this week only again. I bought my 7950 TF3 for £240 with sleeping dogs free (£30 game), it's been this price a few times but at the moment it is £264.

yes an R4 is correct :)

would like standard design for the warm air to be exhausted out the back :)

so whats your thoughts? still get 670SLI ? and get the highest clock on standard volts

refrence evga 670 (black and white) will go very nice with the R4 case
