I have a temporary laptop but when I try to connect to the internet it says invalid password, it must be 5 - 13 ascii characters but my WEP Key is 9 characters. Are network password and WEP Key the same thing? Also I read something about your WEP Key being converted into a network password but the computer used to access the website to change the WEP Key or find out the converted network password is broken.

I'm not sure but I cba to worry about that, I need to find out my network password without my PC? I'm using PS3 browser so can log into ip

Who set the password - ask them.
If it's your router, log in and you should be able to find out what it is....or at least set it to something you know.

thats my whole problem, the computer i use to log in is broken. And i know my WEP key but their not asking for that, their asking for my Network Password

Its the same thing - and is the PS3 browser a web browser? If so, can you not log into your router to check the WEP key that way?

You should just need the wireless key.

If you're getting asked for other passwords then something is going on beyond the situation you're describing. More details required.

(BTW they're not their)

When trying to connect to my network it will say the network is no longer in range so I set up the network manually but the laptop asks for my network password, when I enter my WEP key it tells me it is wrong and it should only be 5 - 13 ASCII characters

Your first step has to be getting the laptop to see the network. If it can't then setting it up manually isn't going to help very much.

Once it can see the network it'll be able to detect the type of encryption and number off bits in use and prompt for the correct type of key.

If you can't get it to see the network there's something wrong beyond not knowing the correct key.

Re the key. You say it wants a key between 5 and 13 characters, how long is the key you have? Are you sure it's a WEP key? Are you entering the ASCII version of the key and not the hexadecimal version?
