Dont know what to do!

Spending all your work placement earnings on a powerful car whilst you are still at Uni is a very silly, very foolish and financially a bad idea.

Do it. :D

hehe!

That exactly what I am thinking - it makes so much sense to just accept my mums opinion (and her handouts) to keep the corsa for another year...however, I just feel that I'll be missing out on a chance of a lifetime to grasp a nice car whilst I've still got the freedom to use it.

Ofcourse, some of it might be the old "do the opposite to what your parents tell you" trick which as much as I try not to do, I've been sensible financially all my life and now I feel like doing something a bit risky and adventurous for once - despite fears from my mum.

Choices, choices...

Has someone hijacked your account?!

'Course not, but I'm a Uni student, where do you think the 530i Sport is coming from ;)

Luckily my parents opinions were 'Ok but dont get a black one' and 'Sure you don't want a 540i?'

At uni you've got all the time and no money. However if you can afford a cool car and have the time to drive it you should definitely go for it. Free motoring is nice, but a GT4 would be awesome. Enjoy life while you can, you could still lose your licence in a Corsa or have an accident. Definitely go for it!

Buy the celica - hell, buy anything - the corsa is from satan. It is his evil work and he hath placed his wicked servant in there, disguised (badly) as the auto box. Run for the Celica - you won't regret it*

*ok, you probably will but hey, you only live once

Cool parents ;)

I still reckon the running costs of a Jap turbo nutter 4wd rally homologation special will be a crippingly huge amount higher than a normal BMW saloon though.

Ah, so there's the answer...

...megakid - you need a 530i :D

Keep the corsa and buy a motorbike for London. Or keep the corsa and spend some money on a decent stereo system for it.
I'd get that NCB first, 1 year is 30% and its makes all the difference whereas the difference between 4 and 5 years is tiny.

It will be evened out by the fact that the Jap car is reliable whereas the BMW will break down all the time.

I've actually just spent £600 on the audio side of things in the corsa - i plan to take it out and put it in my new car (if and when I get it)
