I am in the dilemma that I think its time to upgrade but not sure what route to go! I currently have a 46" Samsung LCD which I have had now for nearly 4 years, it was one of the high spec full HD models out at the time and cost me just over £1000.

I have been happy with it but I am now fancying an LED model, thin Bezel, 3D etc. Because the footprint of my existing 46" has a huge bezel I could easily get a 50" in the same area with a small footprint and I was fancying going bigger anyway :D

Now I've read up on active/passive 3D etc and to be honest the 3D stuff is not the be-all and end-all of what I go for so I dont really care what type it is, I am just after something that is around 50" and has a great 2D image and my budget is again around £1000.

I'm not fussed about all the multi-media DNLA junk, on screen this that and the other, just a decent picture is important.

Any recommendations out there people? :D

yep. the samsung UE50F6670 it's exclusive to a well known high street retailer. I just got the 46" version. It has a slim bezel, 600hz, 3d, smart, wifi, Freeview HD Freesat HD. Comes with 2 pairs of glasses and an extra smart remote which has voice command.

Bang on the nose at £999.99. Samsung also do a cashback offer. buy the tv, spend £100 or more on another samsung product and get £100 cashback on a prepaid visa card.

you won't find many reviews of it out there. best thing to do is find a store with one in and go see it for yourself. Forgot to mention it has a dimmable backlight. I also recommend buying it online as opposed to instore. they won't let you return it unless it's faulty if you buy it instore. If you buy online then you're covered by the distance selling regulations which mean you've 28 days to return it if you just don't like it.

Yeah you are right there isn't much out there about it but from the little there is it generally has a good write up, I was looking at the Samsung UE50F6500 originally which is the same price, would you say the UE50F6670 is better unit, more so from picture quality perspective rather than features? Looks like it to be honest :D

only differences are that the 6670 is 600hz vs 400hz for the 6500, and the 6670 has the dimmable backlight which is useful if the light conditions in the room change a lot.
