Don't know when to buy

Decided to go for the 1950XT.

It should give me plenty of play about until the bees knees of DX10 cards come out and it's £60 cheaper than the 88GTS.

Thanks guys.

:( , and yes the inno will be as good the only difference being its clocked a little lower from the factory and dosn't come with the t shirt, oh and theres the little warrenty issue :p . but the inno will clock up to the BFG level.

Yeah says those speeds on the official Inno3D site as well, a competitor says otherwise. :p

Id still buy it anyway, otherwise as i said, just set your money on fire instead, or go outside and fling it up in the air, or give it to the first passer by you see, may as well, or give it to charity, even giving it to charity would be better than spending it on the worthless x1950. :D

will it be able to play supreme commander well or is that asking to much
My good 'old' X1900 manages Supreme Commander at 1360x768 all maxed out. loads nice and fast and not a single judder or drop in frame rate. I still reckon there's not going to be any need for me to change my card this year. I'm only just now finding the limits of my 7600gt, for a budget card it's done me proud.

SupCom easily, as said above the 320mb GTS destroys the x1950 XT, has much better image quality, and is next gen, x1950's are old tech, as are all ATi's cards, ATi cards are not worth buying at all now. :)

Not much better but a little better. Although everything else your saying is true but only to the enthusiast. ;)

Get the BFG one as it has the lifetime warranty. The Inno3d card and the one from the friend ;) will not have anything near to the warranty qualities that BFG offer. How would you feel if something went wrong and you're left with nothing?.

Get the warranty and the peace of mind. Worth the extra in my opinion. Oh you also get a groovy T-Shirt and Teflon pads for your mouse. (My m8 got a BFG 8800GTX)
