Woke up this morning and the local muppets had bent the door frame back to steal an empty, yes, empty pack of cigars I'd thrown on the passenger seat..

Looks like I'll need another door as they managed to crease it badly and I just can't get it to seal. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't such a PITA..

They focused on this aspect in a TV campaign a few years back. The fact is that such scum will break into a car for things which normal people would never consider. You might leave a few bits of small loose change in the centre console, for example, which you'd never consider worth breaking into the car for but a thief only has to nick such change from a couple of cars and he's got enough for a pack of fags which is more than enough reason for him.

Similarly, they'll think nothing of breaking in for some cigars. If the packet turns out to be empty then so be it but they'll still take the chance. It's the same as when they see the Tomtom holders on the screen and break in on the off-chance you've left it in the glovebox.
