Don't run a 64bit OS? No Lightroom 6 for you

As per the title, Lightroom 6 is going to be 64 bit only.

Not surprised really. Lightroom 5 dropped support for Windows XP, so it is only a natural progression. Can you still purchase new 32bit Intel or AMD processors?

I think some Atom processors are only 32 bit. So maybe an issue for users of low grunt windows tablet.

I run it on my Dell venue 8 pro, for the library, workflow on desktop and laptop.

EDIT:my bad, my Atom is 64bit.

Sensible move. There's no more point supporting 32-bit operating systems than there is supporting XP these days, both are outdated.

I've had 64bit for around 10 years now....I'd rather a well made 64bit copy then a half baked 32/64 one.

Why anyone would be using a 32bit system and using Lightroom on it is beyond me anyway.
If your running Lightroom to it's full, then the lack of Ram in a 32bit system would bring things to a crawl.
