I dont want help via a forum. I will ring overclockers after the bank holiday. This is just to share my shambles of an experience with overclockers this week. Because of the crisis i have been scouring the clearance page and lucky me oc have a 2070 super in stock, in fact they had 2. A dual fan asus and a gaming x trio. I chose my preferred card and paid for said item with next day delivery. That was the 30th of last month. I am aware that i placed my order late in the day, there is a bank holiday and staff shortages so i thought ill drop a message to see when i can expect my card.

A little while later i recieve an email stating that the card isnt in stock and would i like a swap. Now im not going to list the stock offered partly because i wasnt given a list o was simply told pick a card and a brand and well check stock...... really? And also i think it could leave overclockers in an unfair position as i certainly feel lied to and think others would too.

Anyway, i asked the prices on 2 brands and said i wpuld be interested in an msi card offered at 499.99, i then recieved an email back from a different staff member stating that there are no msi cards availible and the cheapest they had was a not so desirable brand at 499.99, obviously o stated that i was told there was an msi card availible at 499.99 and if the less desirable brand was the same price then i would prefer the msi card.

The same staff member then came back to me and said the equivelant of ok no problem ove switched it to the msi card now you need to pay the 120 pounds difference. They have already taken my 468 pounds 8 pounds of which was for next day delivery! They said the msi card was 500 and now its 580?? O check my order online and guess what, NOOB MOVE, they switched ot for not the 0000 card but the 0000ti, not the card i was told was availible or the card i asked for.

I think part of the problem is they are being as quiet as possible about what stock they actually have which i can understand hence some of the crypticness in my post. This has absolutly destroyed and respect i had for overclockers as a retailer, the fact that oliver L swotched my order to the wrong card, told me i need to pay and then clocks off for the night is disgusting imo. I know your busy overclockers but honestly wtaf

This is the second experience ive had with overclockers and it sucks because the first time i contacted them they were so good i actually paid 10 pounds extra for the same monitor just to get it from oc because the customer service was unreal. Now its a joke

a bit sucky but i'm sure you can straighten it out with them. Interesting you say 'don't tell me to post in customer services' though. Have you been told that before?
I really hope so as i said my first experience with them was amazing. And no this is my first post but i know the go to is "why post in the forum? Tell cs". If they arnt there to email me back or answer the phone though then that wpuld be pointless. I cba with the emaols anymore anyway, it feels like emailing talktalk, they havnt a clue. Ill ring them and hopefully get through to someone who knows what a gpu is

Im under the impression now that retailers just dint want to admit that they have cards that arent for sale, unless they make a mistake. Tbh ive been left in an extemely negative mood by all this so judgement may be clouded atm. First world problems and that

O thonk you should also order a new keyboard whole you waot too
I will order a new keyboard when i have a gpu and therefore a working computer. Till then a keyboard is a bit pointless as a graphics card would provide me with a display so i can see what i am typing. As i have no gpu my computer will not work with a new keyboard. Do you work for overclocker cs by any chance?

I love this type of complaining thread, we don't get enough of them in OCUK.

Also the OP I assume you typed this on a phone with a very small keyboard?
Yes and very fat fingers
As for the haribo i got a free bag when i asked if i could buy a jumper off them for a wraith led cooler and they sent me the jumoer for free plus the haribo, order a monitor and no haribo. Didnt post about that one though

I don't understand making an account to post in the forums, if you're not going to post in customers services, which is actually the place that might be able to make a difference?
To let people know about my exoerience as usually when a retailer ***** up like this it is because the management is incompetent. Personally i believe in this case its too keep stock a secret so people dont pester about certain cards, thats why they arnt selling any of the card they offered me as a replacement yet have on they can sell me for 500.... or more specifically "a couple lying around for swaps like this". I dont want support via a forum as i believe email would be more effective and that was a joke so now im just going to ring after bank holiday. Why did you make your account? Not really the point imo

Go to the big man himself first then if you don't get your answer this approach would be better imo
Have yoy read the thread mate? I emailed cs. They said no worries well swap it for a msi card i said ok well id prefer a cheap card or an evga if i have to pay up but the msi card sounds good.
They emailed back saying we dont have any msi cards,
I said you just told me you did
They said ok ive switched it to the msi card pay us another 120
Check my order and theyve switched it to effectivly any msi card they could find. A more expensive card too

Ahhhh man how do you get gifs to show on here normally? Sorry op feel like I'm jacking your thread now but at least if like me you don't know then we'll have a new way to express our Cs anger emotions I guess?
Hijack away guys just wanted to vent tbh. I just feel like a phinecall upon realising the item wasnt in stock wouldve gone a long way but they decided to take the payment and leave it to me to chase it up

Awesome, so you still should post in customer service section. Nobody here can help you.

You can't I had to convert them first and they sit on my hosting so it looks like they are forum emojis.

So you're happy then? I've read the thread but I'll be honest I am a little confused.
I'm very interested to know what Cs says when you ring them Tuesday though lol
Happy? Mate i bought it on credit. The card at 500 i was willing to stretch to but 580 for a card i have no use for or interest in

I mean it is a gpu, i could use it. But its not thr card i want or in my budget

With regards to a refund, as said before a refund was offered in the first email. Along with the offer of a swap for a card i wanted. I asked for the swap to then be told what are you on about we dont have that card, i said you told me you did and magically my order is switched to that card, but not for the price they told me. They then go home for the weekend with my order changed and asking me for more money. I check my order on the website and its the wrong card.... overclockers shpuld know the diffèrence between these 2 cards.

Original tgread got locked. Was tenpted to say **** it and leave it as a mystery but, as people were saying, overclockers really did go overboard to fix the issue. Long story short got a much better card for the original price. Good card good brand. Wouldve been happy with a lesser offer so overclockers really have won me back over.

Bit annoying that this couldnt be posted in the original thread as now that thread sounds like a resolution wasnt reached, it was.

So posting on customer service was ok? :D
No, i emailed, and tbh it was horrendous but the outcome is more than acceptable. Just put it down to a lot of orders and little staff. Overall i have a much better deal than i originally asked for getting there was very frustrating. S*** happens though and they have certainly made up for the mistake and then some
