Hi All, bit of a vague couple of questions but please bear with me.

I'm using the following RAM with a Gigabyte Gaming-7 Z97X board (This bundle).
Looking in BIOS, it's telling me that it is running in 1600mhz but should be 2400mhz. In CPU-Z it's telling me the following;

^same for both slots

I've looked at the XMP profiles in BIOS but nothing for my RAM, does anyone happen to know how I can go about getting it right?

Here is a firestrike standard bench confirming the same http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/6999820?
My full specs are;

- i7 4790k @ stock
- Gigabyte Gaming-7 Z97X
- R9 290 Vapor-X @ stock
- 16gb Kingston Hyper-X 2400mhz
- Samsung 850 EVO
- 2tb Seagate

cheers,
tommy

You ram is running at 2400Mhz.

1199.8 times two (its double data rate) = 2400Mhz.

To comfirm, goto the classic BIOS mode and show me the advanced memory section, you can press F12 to save an image of the BIOS to a USB drive.

No need to kick yourself. We have all been there, the joys of enthusiast pc'ing :)

Thanks dude, been out of the game for years, how things have moved on!

Another FS saw me hit 9900, I WILL hit 10k!! ;)

Easily with that set up, managed 11k+ with 4.7 on my old i7 3770k and 1.2 on my old 290(P) flashed to X.

Final run for this rig, managed to get 4.7 stable in FS. (Well untill another driver update happens and they bring out another card :))

290(P) Flashed to X @1,222 Mhz/1,600 Mhz Watercooled.
