Is it possible just to back up my copy of photoshop save having to completely reinstall it when I reinstall windows after a format. The thing is I do not want to have to completely reinstall all of my photoshop plugins again as it will take ages.

I'm wondering if any of these backup managers will just allow a backup of photoshop and all of my plugs on to a clean install due to an upgrade?
Thanks

i'd imagine doing a copy of the "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2" folder to somewhere, -installing photoshop cs2 again, then pasting that folder back onto the new install should sort it..

test it on another pc first, might need some registry settings

and make a backup of..

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop

^application data is probably hidden, so do Tools, Folder Options, Show Hidden Files in windows explorer first

tbh, a reinstall would be quicker than all the faffing about needed.

And much safer, what about registry entries, plug-in(s)s that have to be installed, the hidden activation key, seems to defeat the object of a clean re-install.

copy the registy keys as well. I copied office and dreamweaver from skool a while back and just copied to directory in program files and the registry keys is current user.
