Don't you just hate it when people take games too seriously?

Just came from a round of COD4 MP. Landed up one one of those hard-core, no crosshair servers, which was interesting...

Right up until I accidentally killed one of my own team. Immediately I apologised, but he was still that upset that he actually hunted me down to knife me in the back.

What a child! There really is no need for that, especially when I have apologised.

But its not just COD4, pretty much any game. Why on earth do people take it so bloody seriously?

Ok, fair enough if somebody is deliberately going round trying to ruin it purposely, say by killing his own team intentionally. Besides that, whats there to get upset about?

it really really annoys me when i get tk'd, especially accidental ones cause it mans you made a mistake :p but im not gonna hunt you down and return the favour lol

seems like COD4 is like the next cs1.6 for children, ive only played online twice and both times ive encountered idiots, the last one being someone who just decided to pistol me in the face (same team) at the very start of a round while i was capturing a flag with him and then told me to **** off :/

good game, crap public community :(

I haven't come across anyone as childish in CoD4 yet, but I know what you mean. One of the problems with CoD4 hardcore servers (which is the best btw) is that it is quite easy to TK someone by accident, not only that but I find the majority of the time it is the deceased's fault. Sometimes people clearly run into your line of fire leaving you no reaction time to stop, so I actually tend to get more angry at the friendly killed.

Regardless of who's fault it is, I always say sorry and never pursue matters any further, unless it was intentional. I have a few friends who get very mad in situations like this, every single one of them are friends who switch their brain off while gaming.

Idiots exist in real life, they have the internet too.

OMG. This is terrible news. We must start a petition to the prime-minister.

I remember people getting annoyed when they ran into my grenades in dod:s.
:s. Never had any problems playing Red Orchestra though. Guess it varies by game quite a lot. Since then I've hardly played anything with ff. At least you don't have to worry about it ;)

ive found this in bf2 a lot, especially when you throw a grenade to cover your assault on a flag and you accidentally kill/injure a teammate that you didnt know was in that particular area, i never intentionally kill team members like ive seen on some servers (ie fighting for planes/choppers) but ive been kicked from some games just for making a simple mistake, reminds me of the saying fog of war

Well i have just been asked to build a system for a friends son for chrismtas, he's 14 and wants to play COD4.

So we probably have a lot of young players in the game, just knife him back ;)

If you dont want to get tk'ed then dont join a server with ff on. Morons tbh world is full of em. What can you do?

ff makes is more fun and kind of more realistic. I hate reflective ff just dont see the point in it.

Actually I see this a lot with online games. It appears that there are people who do nothing but play these games and them when normal people come on, looking for a laugh and to have fun as you would expect with a game, and then make a mistake, you are frowned upon.

I do wonder what's the point with all this naughty. Surely the point is, when you take things seriously it ceases to be fun? Maybe they have forgotten that?

tk'ing is fun! i have a tk account in bf2, and its pretty fun! however you are constantly being kicked from servers, i play normal though about 99% of the time!

also, that does seem like a laugh, hunting down the person that tk'ed you to get him back, its like a mission in its self!

Lol, the only time in BF2 that i tk is on wake island when im waiting for about 10 minutes to get either the plane or the attack helicopter, and it spawns and some guy from out knowhere just runs and gets in, to make sure this doesnt happen i always put a C4 right where it spawns lol.

Seems you are taking it more seriously posting here about it than a chap whos knifing you for a laugh after you "nearly" tk'd him.

Next time check its an enemy before you start clicking :p

I hate you, I hate you, I hate you.

I don't game much nowadays, but if people like you had no access to games like BF2 the expereince would be improved greatly. The only other jerks more jerky than you are the aimbotters.
