You see a beautiful 24" Dell 2407 sitting on a clients desk and it's

running at 800x600 resolution

And you ask "why?" and the answer comes back:

I can't read the small text!

Get an eyetest, reading glasses or a CRT, but don't defile a beautiful thing by running it at that res!

Worse when there is an entire college running 20.1" Dells and they are all at that res because "some people complained about the small text" and locked down by the incompetent admins that always exist at such places.
 
Oh no, image clarity! There should be a driver's test equivalent for PCs :rolleyes:

They don't know how to use Large Fonts and custom dpi settings on higher resolutions, obviously.....

I bet they are running dual-8800's in SLI as well ? ;-)

It's off an 845G or 945G iirc. Embedded graphics...
