Hello,
A few years back I bought some Doom collection on Steam. I thought I'd give Doom2 a play last night, but all I can get out it is crappy sb16 type FM midi music. I want the nice "I have an AWE-32 card because I was awesome in the 90s" music.
Is there a way? My onboard sound card is nothing special, but has a standard wavetable midi synth on it, I guess - better than nothing.
I think it's running via Dosbox, which I know nothing about.
I was hoping to find a way to get a version of the Roland MT-32 emulator ROMs...but I can't find that, presumably because it's a bit of a grey area in terms of legality... I did/do own that sound card, but it's long-since died and is in my parents' attic, somewhere.
nudge nudge, wink wink...
