Anyone got annoying bug with this game? Plays in Opengl, but switch to Vulkan and it refuses to load.

It used to work, but then it didn't. And then even had problems loading up with opengl until I reset settings. Pretty annoying as I wanted increased performance in Vulkan, and now getting a new 144hz monitor I want to try this game as I'll get 120fps+ with my ATI 480 8GB.

Had that once, I just edited the config to enable OpenGL. Then changed back to Vulcan in-game and it was fine on next launch.

Same here, just wont load with Vulkan, and under OpenGL, it looks like this

It's possible that OGL/Vulkan isn't playing too nicely with your obsolete and outdated OS. All that hardware and you play it on W7, shocking!!!

This thread got me a little curious so I thought I'd fire it up. I haven't played in quite a few months but the game ran fine in terms of fps and visual quality, though I did notice two points of interest. Gsync didn't seem to work however I may have to check my settings as it was only a very quick blast on an old save, and secondly, but perhaps worst of all, the audio was running at something like twice the speed...

Running a GTX980Ti.

what CPU are you using? I know there's a bug when running Vulcan on a 2 thread CPU, I had this on my Pentium g3260 system. Fine on opengl, crash on vulkan

if that is the case, the fix that worked for me was to Right click on Doom in Steam Library, "Properties"
"Set Launch Options"

+jobs_numthreads 2

6 core Intel.

I had a problem that if I enabled VSYNC in the DOOM setting with the Vulkan renderer than it would crash, if I removed VSYNC then it works fine
