Doom 3 doesnt work correctly 4870X2 :(

installed doom 3 on vista x64

installed 1.3 patch and 1.3.1 patch.

here is where my problem lies, i cant change resolutions to anything

and in the doom 3 options it only goes as high as 1600x1200 ??? where is the 1920x1080 setting

and when i select 1600x1200 and apply im told to reset the game
so once i do i find im back in the game at 640x800 or something like that lol like my setting of the resolution didnt stick..

next i try to manuely add the resolution in the doom3config file and when i start the game up i get a instant error

i dont know about you guys but this card is messed up when it comes to resolutions..
i didnt get any of these problems with my 8800GTX.

does work tryed the auto.cfg way putting your setting in ect

keeps erroring on me when i start the game up
the highest resolution i can get the settings to stick to is 1280x1024 LOL

this is freaking hillarious..

if i cant fix these problems within the next week this card is going back to the shop and i will be buying a 280GTX instead.

Has to be my 37" HDTV then

i noticed when i select a HDTV 1920x1080p that in the resolution manager in CCC i only get the choice of 4 resolutions lol

but anyway this sucks hehe

well you guys fixed it hehe

when i add those details to the autoexc.cfg file and start the game then go to options it still reports 1280x1024

but if i press info button on my remote for my tv it shows in the corner 1080p
so there for it must be useing 1920x1080p

now my next question, does anyone know of any tweaks for this game that give better graphics lol
