Doom and Heretic

Hey all.

Just thought i'd dig these out and give them a bash.

It's been a while though, and i'm not sure whats the best "port" to go with.

I used to use one called ZDoomGL but it's not been updated for years now and I wondered what everyone else uses.

Why don't you just install Dosbox and run the original through there?

Because I wanted OpenGL etc.

Also wasn't the original 320x200?

Zdoom is great. I play in 320x200 with original sounds. Still a very good game

Play doom 2 on nightmare with mouseaim. Its very hard, the main thing is the ammo. Try taking on cyber demons with a chainsaw!

i bought the ID pack from Steam many many moons ago, all work perfectly fine

think Dosbox is intergrated into them all and no problems on 64bit Ult Vista

Sorry for thread revival.

Anyone else getting "Segmentation Violation" errors with Doomsday?

They happen about once a level. Very irritating.
