I'm trying to play Doom Eternal campaign via Game Pass Ultimate but no matter what I do, the launcher always wants me to go to the Windows Store to purchase/download it. There's always a shopping trolley icon next to Campaign in the launcher. To confirm, I have both Doom Eternal (Battlemode) and Doom Eternal (Campaign) installed and as far as I can tell, both are available to play as part of Game Pass Ultimate on PC....especially given both allow me to simply install rather than buy.

Am I missing something here? I had to create a Bethesda.net account when first launching the Doom Eternal launcher which I've done and that appears to be linked to my Xbox account too. I've re-installed multiple times but at 89GB it's not something I want to keep having to do! Has anyone come across this before and found a solution?

Open the windows store (not xbox) click the little icon in the bottom left and the press the 'get updates' button.

Hopefully that will fix it. If not you could try signing out and signing back into the windows store.

Thank you for the tip. Tried this a few times last night but it doesn't seem to have changed anything annoyingly. Get Updates loads for a few seconds and says it's up to date, also signing out and back in to both the Store and Xbox app hasn't made any difference.

I'm afraid not, though the error I get is now different: "Unknown error occurred. Please try again later". There's still a shopping cart icon next to Campaign. I tried installing this on a completely different laptop and even connected it to my phones hotspot to rule out the local network but I see the exact same behaviour which tells me this is more account/entitlements related. I did try streaming the game over xcloud in a browser and that worked without issue which again, maybe points towards the Microsoft store and some entitlements issue with my Microsoft account and gamepass sub?

I contacted Bethesda support who actually responded last night to say they've exhausted all support options and are closing the ticket, suggesting I need to contact Microsoft now. I'll update if I get any further with Microsoft support.

I contacted them and they are not very helpful.. 3 people said the same thing.. To check if campaign dlc is installed.. But I send them screenshots that it is with the first email

I started the campaign a while ago on Gamepass and it was working fine for me, but this was months ago. I'll give it a go later, maybe an update broke something...
