DOOM WAD'S

I have The Ultimate DOOM on Steam, is it this DOOM 1, 2 or what? I was looking for mods and came across "WADS"

Ultimate Doom is the first Doom upgraded to v1.9 which included a 4th episode called 'Thy Flesh Consumed'. From memory, WADS was just a dump of .wad files (additional levels) which you could run via a command line argument when you ran doom.exe - this is going back ~20 years now, not sure how you would run them via Steam off the top of my head.

Oh thanks! I did wonder what Ultimate was, did not know about the patch.

Yeah I had a bash at making my own via doom builder, but a little fiddly.

You can setup a shortcut directly calling to the doom.exe file with the correct option command to which ever wad file you want . Basically bypassing steam. Most of the stream games exe files can work like that.

I genuinely can't remember the correct call though to specify which wad file
