hi all,
right, had rig in the sig running like a dream for the past few months.

shut it down ealier, no probs - come to start it up again and no signal on monitor. tested monitor on laptop no probs there.

i have green light on mobo but no others, when i boot i get fans on, hdd spins up but no beeps or anything else

what should i try?

Graphics card would be my first stop, take it out, reseat it, re attach power leads (a different one if your PSU has more than one) then try again, if you've an old card swap it out.

Might be worth setting BIOS to defaults too.

Check cable going from the PC to the monitor, sometimes they can come loose if not screwed in, then take a look at the graphics card.

I'd be interested to know how you get on - I have similar, but intermittent symptoms.

I've gone for new mobo due to some other symptoms such as RAID array going intermittently missing or corrupt and will replace in the new year.

right, the beast lives again. it appears one of the ram sticks is broken. after pulling them out and trying them individually it booted up.

i feel a ram upgrade is in order.
