I was originally looking at the Infinity Quasar as I wasn't too sure if I had to time to build a watercooled rig (this will be my first watercooled build). However it looks like I might be taking some holiday soon so it gives me the perfect opportunity to crack on and do it myself if it all works out :)

Budget between £3,500 - £4,500ish.

I don't need any peripherals or monitors (will be buying 3 x new monitors when they get released).

I don't need any mass storage as I have a NAS solution already. I also have a Blu-ray writer and an OS which I can reuse. I was thinking of maybe a custom case too? Would love to hear your thoughts around this?

Not on pc so cant do basket thing, for that money buy a caselabs case, will prob cost 550-£750 depending on case, taxes, etc.

Which case from them were you thinking about?

Maybe 3 ROG SWIFT PG278Q.

Though I'm not sure if this would even be possible. :)

That was the plan, if it isn't possible then I will have to look into other options.

Nice spec Dacia, I think I will end up doing a few different spec's myself as well as there is just so much choice that we can do with this kinda budget !!!!!

Keep them coming, I was surprised you kept it under budget though ;)

Hey Ethel. :D

I liked yours too, wasn't a lot of difference between us. :)

I've definatly got some more in mind, dual looping. :)

Cheers Nick

Fair enough but considering he's going to be running 3 insane monitors i have a feeling he'll have/be getting a good stereo system too..

Fan wise, the case features:

- The PWM hub will enable PWM function to 3-pin fans. Total of 11 fans can be connected to the PWM hub.

These are quite easily bought from around a £5 too so more can be added. :)

The soundcard is a must. :)

What is your budget including monitors? as 3 PG278Q's seem a bit OTT

I hadn't really set myself a budget including monitors but I was going on the assumption that each PG278Q was going to be about £600 each when released and due to the release date being in a few months it would give me time to save for them. They would be replacing my Dell U2412M monitors.

total : £7,832.38 (includes shipping : £32.90).

so lets explain the bits it may seem we've missed:
  • for the radiators you'll need 14Scythe Gentle Typhoons, this is push/pull on both rads and a fan for the front and back of the case.
  • You should get the Blue Light Bar Kit for the Dominator Plats, it will fit the scheme perfectly.
  • Get the Cables Braided by Pexon PC, Black and grey (the SATA cables left Flat Black).
  • Also get a Noctua low noise adapter for each of the fans.

And a bit of what we envisioned:

  • One loop for motherboard and CPU with cube res, hiden under the tray.
  • The other for the GPU's, the GPU loop will use the tube res, mounted inside the case (to the side of the board).
  • SSD mount (Modding) like the Parvum one but in black.
But engrave the sides with the XSPC logo instead and display 'pride of place' in the window. :)
  • Get in contact with someone at XSPC and perhaps they can sponsor you.

Some other disclaimers:

Make sure to update your Home insurance :).

All design desicons were made as a team but I left Ethermaster in charge of the budget, so we apolgise if you have to sell your car!

So, what do you think?

Looks like a pretty epic spec :D Just waiting for my holiday to get signed off and then I can start ordering the kit :)
