Hello - entry 2 in my series of “help I’m a manchild”
We are redecorating our kitchen and quite like the look of this.
Love the black cabinets and skirting boards.
In our kitchen, we have a door with a door frame. Presumably, it makes sense that the door frame should be the same colour as the skirting - black... and perhaps the door. But I’m thinking how this is going to look from the other side of the door, which currently has a white door frame and a white skirting board. The hallway also has another door within a few metres. It wasn’t the intention that we had black skirting throughout the whole house, but we don’t want our eyes to bleed every time we go through the door / hallway
Yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc but if we are going with the black skirting in the kitchen what makes the most sense here:
(A) Keep the door and door frame white / neutral. Away with your black monstrosity!
(B) Paint the door frame black kitchen side only, leave the door white.
(C) Paint the door frame black kitchen side only, paint the door black.
(D) Paint the door and frame black both sides, have white skirting for the remainder of the hall. Embrace the headache!!!
Thanks for your input and sorry for the crap thread
