Hi all.

The rubber door seal has started to come away from the metal of my door. It's only held on by glue as there's no tab, etc for it to grip into. Any recommendations for a type of glue to hold it back on with? Tried double sided tape but even good stuff separated from the paint/metal again really quickly.

Thanks in advance

Serious Glue - no really , great suff make sure the paint has no wax and the seal is well cleaned on contact surfaces
- it's a flexible glue, would need to press the join whilst it sets 1hr, closing the door might be adequate

We had this on our sisters cmax.
I used gel superglue on each door seal.

Our Grand Cmax has now gotten the same issue. I'll.be buying more glue.

Is this the good stuff for sniffing before engaging GluGPT postings?

It is the eponymous does what it says on the tin product - few of these around, but I'm intrigued by the apparently flexible superglue gel, Diagro mentioned.

hope that was a euphemism for the online hardware shop
I'd only buy it (like superglue gel too) off of the web amazon/ebay last 30/33g tube I had was about £7 - sorry high street

Nah. Got an indie hardware shop on the high street in town. 3 small tubes for £4. Got the gel superglue ready but typically for Wales it's raining now...

All the ford's in our large family have this door seal issue.
Every single one.

The mazdas, bmws, merc, audi, tesla, smart cars do NOT.

Ford must be aware of this issue. But they don't really seem to care.

Only my wife's current 19 plate fiesta is fine. Iirc correctly it only seems to be the rear seals on the focus (hers a couple of years ago, and others ive seen), but I've no idea why just them and not the front.

I'm sure I've seen the fronts flapping in the breeze before.

I had this issue on all the door seals on my Focus Rs mk3. I took it to Ford thinking warranty would cover it but they wanted £500 to replace all the seals lol. I just used gorilla glue and it fixed them.
