DOSBox 0.70 released ( GOOD UPDATE! )

Another year and another dosbox version, again more speedups and compatibility fixes.

* Speed up the dynamic cpu core (certain games get much faster).

* Add a dynamic fpu on x86 hosts.

* Improve the cycle guessing code (and make it default).

* Better and more configurable joystick support.

* Improve the image and fat drives.

* Add nullmodem emulation.

* Various win 3.x enhanchments (video/audio/ems/win32s).

* Improve CDROM detection and support.

* Speed up the screen drawing code.

* Add support for different keyboard layouts.

* Various fixes to the (C/E/V)GA emulation.

* Extend and improve all types of emulated memory. (umb/ems/xms)

* Dynamic core should work on Intel Macs.

* Various timer related fixes.

* Added a few more graphic scalers.

Some default settings have been changed in this one so be sure to update your configfiles and read the readme

Oh wow, this is like Christmas morning, I've been looking forward to this for a long time.

Crusader No Remorse now runs near flawlessly on my old laptop! Miracle!

Syndicate Wars also runs well, as does Dark Forces. This is great news, I'm set for a while

to prove to you that this is not just marketing talk, we've prepared an update that was tested and discovered to be compatible ONLY with the new version. That's right, it won't work with VDMSound or any of the older versions of DOSBox. The game in question is Gloriana (a.k.a. Elizabeth I) and we have been waiting for ages to publish it as it's a wonderful blend of strategy and adventure that will keep you glued to the screen for hour

I still cant get Fragile Allegience to work properly with dosbox

Also isnt that bloke in the top right of that picture the Avatar from dungeon keeper?

just download scummvm its a virtual machine that plays all the DOTT and Monkey Island type games

works perfect in xp

lol Steedie, ScummVM has been around for ages. I have DOTT on my NDS Lite because of it!

I'll play around with this tonight. I got all my games running flawlessly under the previous version but an update from these guys can only be a good thing.
