I'd try and avoid carries if your just starting out. Go for nukers, or maybe play safe as support. You'll get a lot grief if you dont play to well with a carry.

What kind of champion do you enjoy playing? It will help us recommend you one :p

I'll try list a few easy to play characters for every role though;

Support: Lich and Dazzle (Lich for offense, Dazzle for defense).
Carry: Viper, Sniper, Skeleton King (All fun and easy to play, arranged in order of how good the are outside of pub games)
Initiator/Tank: Tidehunter
Tank/Support: OmniKnight, Earthshaker (can also play an initiator role depending on team)
Nukers: Zeus, Puck (Probably the hardest role to play as a new player because of the need for a solo lane)
 
I MUST have this game!

Luckily my friend has gone off for a week and has left me his steam details. It was pretty late last night when I finished downloading but i still managed to grab a game. Really enjoyed it.

I do have some small gripes with it after playing so much HoN but really loving it so far!

So well for getting any work done in the evenings this week!
 
Really enjoying the beta so far :). Though it seems that the vast majority of players are pretty terrible, but that is to be expected I guess.

Also LoL players: Calling heroes 'champs' in game WILL get you flamed :P.
 
mcknight I was a well active player on LoL, played for 5 hours minimum a day non stop for about 4 months. Think there was only 1 time I missed a day for playing it.

I plan to play it more but got issues in real life and just couldn't get to grips with it, yes it's a lot more in depth than LoL but I just wasn't feeling it, which is a shame :( Still I thank arknor a lot just a shame as I feel I wasted the key he gave me :(

It's linked to my steam account and I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing an account that has over £1,500 of games with someone I didn't know.

Yea' man, I been meaning to drop you a mail, I wasn't being rude and for some reason I can never find a single person when trying to add them on steam :(

After playing on my friends account. I MUST have beta! Loving it. I have some small gripes but hopefully they will be ironed out!
 
I just got an invite and it says I also have a few guest invites for people in the email. (haven't checked yet).

First people to say "Aedus I luv u long time" and leave their steam profile link get the invites (Not sure how many you get).
 
How does everyone feel about this game so far? I was a huge DOTA player back in the day, but Leage of legends doesn't really do it for me. How is this shaping up to the original?
