Still plugging away at HoN and I'm not sure I can take the MOBA community for much longer.

I just quit a no-stats game that was clearly marked "NOOBS". I go about my business, doing quite well actually...got the first kill, only died twice, I was the only person calling MIA, I was the only person laying wards, etc etc. I was playing better than I've ever played before. And all my team mates can say is "lol at your farm" or "lol at your items". Yeah well, my "lol" farm and items was making me easily the best player on the damn team.

Eventually a few people disconnected and I had my chance to disconnect too without affecting my leaver stats. I took it. Bunch of bell-ends. :mad:

Which is why I said don't try Hon as it will be much worse in that area :) Ask anyone here if you found rage too much in LOL I challenge anyone to say Hon or Dota 2 would be a more pleasant experience :)
 
Well I'm not here for a willy-waving match about which game has the worst community. My point is that it seems to be a hallmark of MOBAs in general. So I'm not sure I'm looking forward to DOTA any more.

Of course, the one MOBA I've played that does have a decent community is the one which no bugger else in the world seems to play.
 
Fair point, certainly it's an aspect that the Genre seems to encourage rage, quite enjoying my current game where only I can blame or be blamed :)

Back to Dota 2 thread I guess :)
 
Every MOBA community is the same, full of troll kids, just let the flaming and raging go over your head in my opinion. You do get the occasional good players who don't do it, but it is kinda rare. :p
 
Wish I had some that played Dota 2! :P But yeah over all the games I've played now, there's always at least one person that rages so hard, either that or someone disconnecting so it's 4v5 and the game is ruined. Dota community in general seems extremely intolerant.
 
Hopefully the finished game will allow you to filter out rage quitters.

I've been in some decent games that were ruined because some knob decides to quit after being ganked.

Most of the time the game could still go either way at that point.
 
I just got my new PC up and running so am able to play this now. Apparently I get two codes that I can give to friends to play this game, but have no idea where to find them? One code to the person who helps, or to the next person to post after them if they already have the game.
 
Thanks Tom113, I hope Monster gives me the key - i would really love that. been aching to play that game...

I just checked and i think the inventory is actually the small square message looking icon to the left of your username which is shown in the top right corner of the community screen...

just checked again - it actually appears on all screens to the left of the username at the top right - not just community page
