Just looking for another game to pickup for christmas.

Tried the marketplace single player demo of SC : DA and liked graphics/gameplay but a few things annoyed me about it. Firstly you can run out of ammo (fair enough) but can't pick up weapons/ammo from the guys you kill, which seems a bit stupid. Second, enemies keep respawning at certain points, you can actually see them 'teleport in', which again seems stupid and spoils the immersion. Thirdly when I got to the end of the demo and there's two guys having an argument and you're supposed to shoot one of them with the sniper rifle, I shot both several times and nothing happened.

Any of these issues in the full game?

Cheers,
Simon.

Ive never experienced any of these issues in the full game

As with ammo, you are not really meant to use it, its a stealth game so snap some people's necks :p That level on the demo is the most ammo hungry one in the game so does not reflect the game well.

I would say go and get it because the single and multiplayer is fun.

Yes you cannot pick up ammo from enemies Sam uses his own hi-tech (customised?) gear, he wouldn't be unseen for long if he was running around with an ak-47 or whatever the terrorists are using.

I can't see how you are running out of ammo though since its possible to not even use a single bullet in most levels and if you are killing people with bullets all that is needed is a single shot to the head.

So if you are running out of ammo I assume you are using your gun constantly and firing multiple shots into a single enemy? IF thats the case I would say no it wouldn't be worth you getting this game.

For me daylight was no problem since it was only really on one level (by the sounds of it you already played that level in the demo) the others with daylight are set indoors for most of the level

I don't mind stealth gameplay, I've finished both Thief games on the hardest setting where you aren't allowed to kill anyone. There's some levels on Thief 2 where you can't even let anyone see you once. The DA demo though, when you're on the balcony sneaking past the tank, there's lots of guys who see you as soon as you go round the corner (even when crouched) and start shooting at you, so you do have to use some ammo. There's also a constant stream of respawning enemies at that point which doesn't help conserve ammo. I was trying to use as little ammo as possible but it sounds like you're saying the gun has a single shot mode, which I didn't realize since I was just having a quick look at it.

Anyway, sounds like the demo has some issues the full game doesn't.

I think its a superb game, although ive finished the SP mode but did it on easy...seeing as i have a region free version...i might as well go through the hard difficulty...just need to find time to play it as im currently on Condemned as i had it but didnt get my achievements passed onto my xbox live profile so am re-doing it and its still fun. Also working through R6 on realistic as well...might give DA a go after ive done with those.

Still highly recommended though
