double booting

i think this may have been covered before but after looking i can't find the definative answer.
my system will boot so far then go quiet for a few secs then boot again. let me explain further when i say boot it boots to the extent of a signal to the monitor but nothing showing then goes quiet and the second time it boots it goes to the loading screen and then the login screen.
i think originally it was put down to the bios version but i have updated to version 10 and it still does it.
any suggestions?

i had to read that a couple of times to understand it, for some reason i kept thinking dual boot.

firstly have you gone through the settings in the bios as there is often things to enable/disable?

what mobo do you have?

yeah maybe i didnt explain it properly the first time, thats why i went on to explain it further.
i dont know what i need to enable or disable. basically i bought the system but had to replace the mobo through a fault of my own so i reapplied the oc and up dated the bios and this is what happens. i must point out that it did this originally but read on here people were having the same problem and were told to update the bios which i have done and its still the same.
mobo is gigabyte ex58-ud5
