Ok, I think I have what I want nailed down for my new 3D/video editing system. Could someone just please double check that I haven't screwed up somewhere in the specs and made a stupid mistake.

Why 3 HDD's though, surely a 1TB drive would be better and partitioned to 2 drives?
 
why are you going 8800GT? as your opting for a X48 mobo i would defo get a ATI graphics card, as then at a later date you could get a second one, especialyl with that 700W power supply.

Drive 1) for operating system, programs, etc...

Drive 2) for storing video footage, files, pictures, music, etc...

Drive 3) for the caddy, so I can take video to and from home to work on if need be.

I would get a completely different board if you are not a gamer by the way motherboard will come with sata cables

Yeah, I wanted that board to try and future proof myself a bit, I rarely upgrade anything unless it dies.

I thought esata was for external devices? Do you mean using it for the caddy?
