Double check my spec

Impatience got the better of me, and I ordered yesterday. Could you guys just double check the kit I bought and let me know what you think? I wanted to upgrade my rig, hopefully lasting the next three years or so (maybe with a graphics card upgrade in 18 months time), so future proofing was necessary. The main uses are gaming, image editing and video editing, with the focus on the first two. I might overclock a bit (within the stock voltages).

Existing kit:
Athlon 64 3200 newcastle
Gigabyte K8n Pro Mobo
1gb corsair value 3200
geforce 5900 128mb
corsair hx 620 psu
samsung spinpoint 250gb hard disk
samsung 226bw monitor
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Vista 32 Home Premium

New kit:
Intel q6600
Abit fatal1ty in9
2Gb OCZ 8500 reaper hpc edition
bfg 8800 gtx oc (600mhz core)

Total Price £804.95 Ex VAT (no VAT payable, I live in the channel islands)

The 8800 gtx is overkill for the 1680x1050 monitor at the moment, but it needs to cover Crysis, Bioshock, UT3 etc. And I really wanted quad core, as it seems to be the trend over the next few years.

I know it's a bit late now, but is there anything I could have done differently?

Any tips for the build (especially the vista installation)?

Big thanks in advance for any help.

Andy.

How much are you looking to spend on the upgrade and what parts will you be keeping from your old rig?

I beleive he has already ordered those parts mentioned above :)

Unless i read it incorrectly.

How is decent RAM overkill for a rig with a Quad Core CPU and an 8800GTX?

he said he's only going to do a limited amount of clocking and given the price iirc £120, could have bought cheaper RAM.

I wanted to have the option of overclocking in the future if I wanted to, so went for the high speed ram. It's so cheap these days that I thought what the hell.
