Hey,
Literally my work machine after a restart just started to do this, and is driving me nuts.
I tried the folder options and made sure open in the same window was ticked, and I also did the regsvr32 /i shell32.dll from run command as mentioned in the first part of google.com
System restore isn't an option, anyone got any ideas of a fix? it is driving me nuts.
Oddly, if I right click on a folder "explore" is the bolded option, which should mean double click gets me the same window, but instead double click seems to be doing open which of course opens in a new window.
*EDIT*
Should note that it is only on the right hand pane through navigating, not the left where you can see the actual folder structure.
