Double sided tape stronger than 3M

I just got a NZXT Hue recently and it's great, but the 3M tape on the LED strip just isn't strong enough so it keeps falling down inside the case, is there anything stronger that will hold it but not damage the case, so it's still removable without nasty residue?

Thanks.

I was gonna suggest those really strong sticky pads but they are hard to remove

some clear sellotape would do it if you covered inbetween the led's?

3M do everything from the strongest to the weakest, just a brand who make some fantastic products. Look for some permanent banner tape, make sure both surfaces are clean and free from dust, dirt or grease.

The problem is the surface inside my case is not smooth, it has a texture which is why I guess the 3M tape the strip has isn't enough, seems the strength of this double sided tape is 200MP, so I have to find something about 50% stronger than that and can't really work it out from the 3M website.

Actually, the answer has been staring me in the face. Glue Dots. You can piuck them up from asda for a quid. I have had good success with them, I only use permanent ones, but they are pretty damn sticky! They do end to peel off if you 'roll' them off as well.

Are VHB a bit strong? Sounds like it, I still want to be able to remove it without issue in the future.

I've got some of the signage stuff, if you're all clear on dust it sticks pretty well. I once hung a 3/4 empty 2 litre Coke bottle from a wood beam from the lid.

It is meant to 'fill' the gaps in a material as you stick it down to provide the maximum sticking power.

Despite all that, it does literally just peel off, leaving no sticky residue. Getting the object away from the tape is the hardest bit, I find either twisting it slightly or just pulling from one end first gets things away easily enough.

Clear silicone sealant from a DIY shop. Once it dries it is very strong but peels of without leaving damage.
