Hi, got a Dell Dimension E520 Im in the middle of upgrading for someone, yesterday I replaced the Celeron D for a Q6600 and the Dell heatsink is rubbish, no fan on it or anything and the Q6600 is running hotter than I would like.

The motherboard only has one CPU_FAN connector which a front 120mm fan is using. I would like to take out the stock Dell heatsink and shroud and put in place a stock Q6600 heatsink, but this needs a CPU_FAN connector which as I say is occupied by the 120mm fan.

Is there anything I can buy like a splitter or something that could turn one CPU_FAN connector into two or something

I agree with Seraph - You should get an adapter that connects to your PSU, by connecting multiple fans to the motherboard's header you risk damaging the header. For neatness I would connect the new CPU cooler to the motherboard and the case fan to the PSU through an adapter.
