DoW II Bate wont work

Hey Guys,

Just downloaded the DoW II Beta through steam but apart from the cinematic and the main title page nothing else works, is anyone able to shed some light on how i actually get to play the game or did i just down load a 350mb cinematic lol?

the beta download is a shade over 2gb

You've obviously downloaded the intro video and not the game.

Hmmm, it shows a a game on my Steam account, also got a CD key when it "installed" - when it launches i get the usual crap, then the cinematic and then it loads to a main screen which is that of a marine in the middle and then the option of Multiplayer on the right hand side but when i click it nothing works and after a while i get an error message, i can also change the games settings so if it is an intro video why would it be so "interactive"??

Something doesn't sound right to me....

Right, so you do have the beta.

Do you have a Games For Live Windows login? Press HOME when on that menu screen.

Yeah I do, I use the one from when I had an xBox last year and as far as i know its fully working as i was able to use it while on FallOut 3 to purchase the add-on just the other day,

Yeah its set to auto log-in and when I'm on the title screen it has my avatar and the Microsoft "LIVE" logo at the very top,

Try going into the steam options and selecting verify cache ( or something like that)

steam then checks the files to make sure they are complete.

My download said 100% but I couldnt play, when I verified cache it then started downloading and I was finally able to play!

When you couldn't play, were you able to launch the game and get to the first title screen??
